The best story of all time...

Oh my goodness. Okay, I saw the best movie EVER. The new Pride and Prejudice came out and I have to say it was AWESOME. I have been obsessed with Jane Austin (the writer of Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, and many others) for a while now. I did a report on her in high school. I own the movie Sense and Sensibilty, and the five hour long verison of Pride and Prjudice, along with the book Emma, Pride and Prjudice, and Sense and Sensibilty. They are absolutely wonderful. I love the stories and the characters. Well, I went to see this movie with some hesitancy because it is only 2 hours and I didn't know how they would put it all in. Well, they didn't but the kept the most important and left out the details and characters that didn't hinge on the plot. Now if you are a fan of the 5 hour long one you have to be open to some change. I am actually glad they didn't try to copy the old one. It is a different version with characters that have different aspects to them. Anyway, it was fabulous and I am going to see it again in theaters and I will be buying it. I leave you now with one of my favorite quotes from the book. It's right after Mr. Darcy proposes to Elisabeth and this is her reply..."From the very begining, from the first moment, I may almost say, of my acquaintance with you, your manners impressing me with the fullest beliefs or your arrogance, your conceit, and your selfish disdain of the felling of others, were such as to form the groundwork of disapprobation on which succeeding events have built so immovable a dislike; and I had not known you a month before I felt that you were the last man in the world whom I could ever be prevailed on to marry.:" Now that's a refusal there.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAY!

SO MY FRIEND SHAY'S BIRTHDAY IS ON THANKSGIVING THIS MONTH AND SHE WILL BE HOME SO WE DECIDED TO HAVE A PARTY FOR HER. SO LAST FRIDAY NIGHT WE HAVE A BLAST SURPRISING SHAY WITH A NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN. IT STARTED WITH MAKING HER THE PRINCESS AND THEN BLINDFOLDING HER AND TOOK HER TO DINNER AT A 50'S DINNER. ONCE THERE WE ALL ATE HOT DOGS AND PLAYED MUSIC THROUGH THE JUKE BOX. AFTER DINNER WE BLIND FOLDED HER AGAIN AND TOOK HER TO LASER QUEST. THERE OUR FRIEND ERIN MET US AND WE PLAYED 2 GAMES OF LASER TAG, AND THE SECOND GAME SHAY WON. AFTER THAT WE DROVE DOWN TO JENKS AND WENT TO THE RIVER WALK, WHICH IS A PLACE THAT HAS STORES AND RESTAURANTS OUT BY THE RIVER. FROM THERE WE WENT HOME AND TALKED OF OUR UPCOMING TRIPS TO WASHINGTON, THE CARIBBEAN, AND LAS VEGAS. WELL, THAT ABOUT SUMS UP THE BIRTHDAY. IT WAS A LOT OF FUN AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR MINE (HA HA). R E S P E C T --- GIRLS NIGHT OUT

So tonight Kellie, Shay, and I had the funnest (I know that's not a word) time this month. We drove in Kellie's mom, Cheryl (thank you if you read this), mustangs. We saw a few mansions (like huge, gorgeous, heaven type mansions), drove downtown, listened to Christmas song by Alvin and the Chipmunks, and got the Rhema security officer to bust a move to RESPECT. All in all it was a fun night. These pics are of us with wind blown hair, rosy cheeks, and a horse that was in front of a restaurant. So that about wraps it up. Here is a quick hi from Shay to all her family who read this. Shay and I say love ya all and good night because its almost morning here. Yea, we definitely are going to stay awake tomorrow in class.

ALOHA

Okay so now it's hot again. Well, maybe not hot but it has been in the 80's the last two days and in the 70's from Sun on. I tell you what this place is crazy. But I'm not complaining. Because it got warm again the leaves on the trees have had time to change color. I am very excited about that. Usually it get so cold so fast that they just fall off before they have time to change. Enough about the weather. I am doing good. My roommate, Debbie, has decided to move back to Pittsburgh. She will be leaving on Nov. 19. So that means I have to find either another roommate or get some money to pay full rent here soon. So if you'll be in agreement with me that it will all work out soon. At least it's good to know that God is faithful and my Provider. Last, I have to tell you that my job at Rhema requires me to personally see to the Hagin family and the whole pastoral staff tomorrow at the membership luncheon and I am a little nervous because my boss is out of town and I am doing it without having seen how its done before. So let's pray I don't spill Mrs. Hagins drink on her. Can you imagine? Anyway, I just got done with a 10 hour day at work and I think it's time for bed. Ya'll have a wonderful day. Love ya, Rach P.S. The pic of me is from my senior trip in 04. I haven't been to the beach anytime lately.

DECK THE HALLS

The count down is on. Now that November is here the holidays have arrived. Since I am so excited to go home for Christmas I am so in the Christmas spirit. I have begun to listen to Christmas music in my car and tonight me and the girls made Christmas stockings. It was a lot of fun. I've never been that good at crafts but I must say tonight I didn't do that bad. Anyway, it's fun to have my friends and all and to be able to do things like this. Well, I have to go to bed so have a wonderful day and I love you all. Rach
